Sylvia Nguyen Ngoc My and Leinné had an emotional conversation about the journey to chase colors. In Sylvia, there is a wonderful resonance of contrasting charms. Overcoming elegant and gentle beauty, we see a woman with great spirit and motivation to pursue the passion and conquer challenges. The world is like a painting, and Sylvia's story inspires every woman to paint the colorful picture in the way they want.
That's an interesting question. Many people once asked me about the reasons I started, but few asked me about my passion or motivation. I had two passions, or simply called an interest at that time; business and design. Real estate is a vast and comprehensive area of knowledge, skill, and my personal preferences. The more I learned and understood, the more I was attracted and passionate to follow unstoppably. The motivation for me to choose the field is its potential in Vietnam, and the dream of sustainable projects with time.
What are the skills that a modern woman needs to succeed in your opinion?
Everyone has their own definition and measurement for success in work or life.
For me, skills that lead to success in both life and work are the ability to manage time and emotions.
What are the motivation and inspiration for your social impact projects that you are passionate about?
Social projects always give me a lot of inspiration, and lessons about life. I do not think that I am involved in any particular inspiration or motivation. It simply means that I am doing what I think is right. Living in an elevated environment of love and charity makes me a happier person. When I'm happy, I can share positive energy with people around me.
From the posts on Instagram, I can see that you are really fond of travel, so what are your favorite destinations when traveling?
Lately, I'd like to go someplace with a beautiful sunset. I feel that the hours spent watching the sky change color, things flow fast and slow, and a space that is aesthetic would give me a lot of emotions.
Being a busy and on-the-go person, how do you define your fashion style?
I do not see myself as a stylish person. I like simplicity, not too many accessories as I am an activist. My style is shaped by what makes me happy, depends on the day or the time, so there should always be a constant change and surprise. Clothing is an indirect way of expressing our feelings.
From your view, which accessories do you feel indispensable for your ideal trip?
The first thing for me is sun cream, and also because I am afraid of the sun, I cannot go anywhere without a hat.
We love your sense of style. How did you find and choose Leinné’s designs?
Maybe Leinné's aesthetics is relevant to me, as I’ve been following Leinné Instagram for a long time. I feel the picture of an introverted, peaceful woman, but she is ready to experience the world. The hat’s downturn brim brings a safe, private feeling while being a perfect finishing touch for an outfit.
To celebrate 8th March, what message would you most want to share with the young?
I hope that young women will not be afraid to experience different colors of themselves, different colors that make their own originality. Who we are, not defined by name, by a few words, and the less likely to be shaped by social media, even family and friends. Our voice is unique, not to be absorbed into the sounds of society. I would wish the women of Leinné the peace to listen to their own voice, take courage to go, come, and conquer all that they desire.
