1. How to care for fabric hats:
Handwash recommended for most fabric hats in cotton, silk, and linen. Separate fabric parts from hat and wash separately.
If your hat has artisanal details such as embellishment, embroidery, or mixed materials, spot-clean only.
Dry in shade to preserve the colours.
Leinné fabric hats are crafted with layers chosen by touch, a harmony of softness and structure, meant to age beautifully with you.
2. How to care for raffia hats:
Leinné raffia hats are crafted with a special technique that preserves air within each fiber, giving them natural flexibility and lasting beauty.
Spot-clean gently when needed and reshape with a steam iron.
Store in an airy, dry place to maintain their form and texture.
3. How to pack your hat in your suitcase or bag:
Your hat would not take any space in the suitcase if you follow our steps.
Step 1: Place heavy clothes in your suitcase first.
Step 2: Put paper/cloth into the crown and avoid crushing the hat for a long time with heavy items.
Step 3: Place the hat into your suitcase/bag and ensure that the brim is straightened.
Step 4: Put other things on to the brim, around the hat.
Avoid folding the brim with corners (the brim can be curved on 2 sides in case there is not enough place for your large brim)
If your hat has downturned brim, the brim should be curved up to be able to sit on the flat surface without bending the brim.
4. How to iron your hat:
If the brim is curved or folded:
Iron will smooth out the fold.
Use a home iron (more effective with a steam iron), then place a pressing cloth between the iron and the item to avoid scorching.
If the crown is deformed:
It will be reformed when you continue wearing it, or push papers into the crown for a few days. You can also iron the item by putting clothes into the crown and iron it as ironing the brim.
5. Plant-based/eco dyed details:
With plant-based/eco dyed fabric details, soak in fresh coconut water for an hour, then wash it off normally.
Wash by hand and let it dry in shades, on a flat surface.
