“Gourmandise is an impassioned, rational and habitual preference for all objects that flatter the sense of taste.”

Where did it start, the concept of Gourmandises?

Is it about food, like the meaning of “gourmandise” in French: anything that brings us the pleasure of taste?

The conception of “Gourmandises” was derived from the very core notion of Leinné: objects that gratify the senses and embody a heart open for new experiences.

Hat, or bag, after all, is a very special piece that signifies an evolutionary journey of the wearer through memorable moments. Especially hat - nobody throws away a hat. They might throw away other articles, but hats have got too much memory and too much intimacy; they frame the face and enhance the features, hide what needs to be hidden and show us what should be seen. Somehow they manifest subtly the message of desire and contain the sparks of the moment.

In this series of images, Leinné creations are presented with the art of the table which were inspired by the paintings of le Caravage, the crafted sensuality of traditional Vietnamese meals in Tran Anh Hung’s movies and Thach Lam’s literature, and the theorem of taste by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.

The rich level of details on the images suggests a slow sensual experience - like we look at a painting for a long time, then look away and return to it to see another layer of features and meaning.

And better than eating a good plate, we can savour the details of an image over and over, for as long as we like.

After all, time stands still in all forms of arts in the world, only for the pleasure of the eyes.

UN GÔUTER

An invitation inside the world of the modern woman through her nostalgia afternoon tea table: her inner world of care and negligence, serenity and passion, liberty and inhibition, solitude and exuberance.Through time and through the gratification of the senses, she blossoms, slowly, freely and beautifully as life.

LOVER'S QUICK MEAL

A great love is not only measured by grand gestures seen by others, but also in unspoken details that only lovers could understand.

MOONLIT AROMA

Watching the moon is a special ritual in Vietnamese culture. The shimmer of moonlight comes with its unique fragrance, taste and delights from the tea table. It is a moment to share a quiet understanding through the airy night space

ET APRÈS...
