CARE FOR JEWELRY

PEARLS

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to preserve their natural luster.

Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, or hairspray. Pearls are sensitive to acidity and chemicals.

Keep away from heat and moisture; never immerse in water.

Store flat in a soft pouch or fabric-lined box, separate from other jewelry.

PRECIOUS STONES

Clean gently with a soft cloth or lukewarm water; avoid harsh cleaning agents.

Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, or exercising.

Protect from impact or friction with other pieces. Natural stones can scratch or chip.

Store individually in fabric pouches to maintain brilliance.

Keep away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to preserve color vibrancy.

NATURAL THREADS

Avoid water, humidity, and exposure to oils or perfume, these can alter natural fibers.

Handle with care; avoid pulling or twisting.

When not in use, lay flat or wrap loosely in soft fabric to maintain shape.

Keep away from sharp objects or rough surfaces that may snag the weave.

Store in a cool, dry place. Natural threads thrive in calm, breathable environments.

CARE FOR HATS

1. How to care for fabric hats:

Handwash recommended for most fabric hats in cotton, silk, and linen. Separate fabric parts from hat and wash separately.

If your hat has artisanal details such as embellishment, embroidery, or mixed materials, spot-clean only.

Dry in shade to preserve the colours.

Leinné fabric hats are crafted with layers chosen by touch, a harmony of softness and structure, meant to age beautifully with you.

2. How to care for raffia hats:

Leinné raffia hats are crafted with a special technique that preserves air within each fiber, giving them natural flexibility and lasting beauty.
Spot-clean gently when needed and reshape with a steam iron.
Store in an airy, dry place to maintain their form and texture.

3. How to pack your hat in your suitcase or bag:

Your hat would not take any space in the suitcase if you follow our steps.
Step 1: Place heavy clothes in your suitcase first.
Step 2: Put paper/cloth into the crown and avoid crushing the hat for a long time with heavy items.
Step 3: Place the hat into your suitcase/bag and ensure that the brim is straightened.
Step 4: Put other things on to the brim, around the hat.

Avoid folding the brim with corners (the brim can be curved on 2 sides in case there is not enough place for your large brim)

If your hat has downturned brim, the brim should be curved up to be able to sit on the flat surface without bending the brim.

4. How to iron your hat:

If the brim is curved or folded:

Iron will smooth out the fold.

Use a home iron (more effective with a steam iron), then place a pressing cloth between the iron and the item to avoid scorching.

If the crown is deformed:

It will be reformed when you continue wearing it, or push papers into the crown for a few days. You can also iron the item by putting clothes into the crown and iron it as ironing the brim.

5. Plant-based/eco dyed details:

With plant-based/eco dyed fabric details, soak in fresh coconut water for an hour, then wash it off normally.

Wash by hand and let it dry in shades, on a flat surface.

RAFFIA SPECIAL CARE

  • HOW TO CLEAN RAFFIA

Leinné raffia is crafted with special techniques to preserve its elasticity and natural texture. Our raffia designs can be spot-cleaned, gently ironed, and reshaped when needed.Your raffia bag and hats can be spot-cleaned by a soft bristled brush, with mild soap or water. Let it dry in the sun, on a flat surface.

Please DO NOT twist or soak it in water.

  • NATURAL RAFFIA

Raffia is naturally strong, soft, and UV-resistant. Its natural resin gives it flexibility and durability, keeping it from becoming brittle over time. While raffia resists moisture and retains its texture, it’s not fully waterproof and may lose shape when soaked.

  • BLACK RAFFIA

Leinné black raffia carries natural depth and light from its lustrous fibers. Dyed with natural pigments, each piece varies slightly in shade, making every creation unique. Subtle variations or brownish tones are part of its character. To preserve color, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as raffia dyes fade over time.

CARE FOR BAGS

Leinné artisanal bags are made with mixed natural materials and crafted details that require gentle care.
Spot-clean only when needed, avoiding soaking or machine washing.
Store in an airy, dry place and keep away from direct sunlight to preserve colour and texture.

Each Leinné bag carries the mark of handcraft. Treat it with the same patience and care with which it was made with love.

Note on clothing compatibility with bags made from artisanal fibers

Bags with natural texture may brush against delicate fabrics.

Avoid silk, wool, or shiny surface fabric clothing when wearing your bag close to the body.

It pairs beautifully with cotton, linen, jeans and other natural materials.

CARE FOR ARTISANAL ACCESSORIES
